After careful consideration and drawing from the experiences I have gathered over the past several years, I am asking for your support the upcoming Primary Election on August 13 and again in the General Election on November 5. As someone who has maintained a vested interest in our community and has rolled up his sleeves and pitched in from day one, I want to make a positive and lasting impact in o
ur community and continue to keep Kaysville “Utah’s Hometown”. The following outlines some of the talking points and stands that I take on a handful of topics currently affecting our residents, employees, and city as a whole:
- Keeping downtown businesses vibrant and healthy by encouraging a “shop local first” mindset; enthusiastically supporting local businesses and business owners
- Proposing viable revenue-generating alternatives and ideas concerning the Flint Street Property and other areas throughout Kaysville. Striving to keep in line with the General Plan and keeping our city's business in/along Main Street and 200 North.
- I will promote and support economic policies to attract businesses to Kaysville, diversifying our tax base and easing the burden of the individual tax payer
- Carefully listening to residents and their concerns and ideas; doing my absolute best to implement their voice at City Hall through my actions as an elected official
- Maintaining a high standard of living for Kaysville City employees by keeping wages and benefits commensurate with other city and state workers
- Being fiscally responsible and spending our tax dollars wisely, ensuring we maximize every opportunity with the resources we currently have before turning to rate and tax increases
- Continuing to provide Kaysville residents with a wide variety of community-based events and a full spectrum of parks and recreational opportunities
I have started campaigning door to door and look forward to meeting our wonderful neighbors and friends in the coming weeks. Thanks for your interest and support.............see you on the campaign trail.
