Update 7:30pm
Per chopper 1 there are actively 2 separate fires burning.

The first one is approximately 40 acres in size and the second is nearing 250 acres.

Fire crews continue to midagat both fires along with some large Dozers placing fire lines around the perimeters at this time.

Winds are reported to be light and variable at this time.

If conditions change we will try and update, otherwise we will be listing for the first fly by at 0600 and will update at that time.

Reports of a Runaway Brush Fire
Due west of the Waimea Airport approximately 1 mile west.

At this time there are no road closures and no threat to any structures.

It appears lightning is the possible culprit.
