Need to speak with an attorney?

Today from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, a volunteer attorney will be available at the Buffalo County Courthouse to answer general legal questions and help point you in the right direction.

✔ Get answers to general legal questions
✔ Assistance with paperwork, when available
✔ No appointment needed — first come, first served

Please note:
• The attorney cannot represent you in court or in an ongoing case
• No legal advice will be given on pending criminal cases
• This service is meant to help guide individuals on civil legal matters

Deadline: Monday, March 9, 2026

If you have not yet responded, action is required to remain on the waitlist.

If you provided an email address on your application:
• Check your inbox for a message from a “noreply” address
• Click the link and complete the online form

If you did NOT provide an email address:
• Check your mail for a letter
• Complete the form and return it to our office

Applicants on multiple waitlists must complete a separate form for each waitlist.

Failure to respond by March 9, 2026 will result in removal from the waitlist.

Mobile Produce Pantry Distribution — With Meat & Frozen Meals

Join us Friday, February 20th at 9:00 AM at the Community Action Food Bank (114 E 11th St., Kearney) for our next Mobile Produce Pantry! Fresh produce and meat will be available free of charge while supplies last.

Also, a big THANK YOU to United Way of the Kearney area as they gave us the following items while supplies last.

• Complete the form and return it to our office
