🐾 Meet Tucker — Adoption With a Little More Peace of Mind 🐾

We are all familiar with the phrase “Adopt, Don’t Shop.” There are so many dogs waiting for loving homes, but a common barrier for adopters is the unknown: What is this dog really going to be like at home?

Shelter environments can be stressful, and a dog's true personality often doesn't emerge until they've had time to decompress. Many dogs end up in shelters simply because a previous owner lacked the time or resources to work with them. That doesn't make them bad dogs—it just means they need a little patience, guidance, and training.

That's the beauty of adopting Tucker! 💛

Tucker has spent the last six months at Fantastic Fido's, a premier boarding and training facility. During that time, the team has gotten to know his true personality (which is, by the way, amazing!) and built a rock-solid foundation for him.

✨ WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT TUCKER:

🐶 Friendly with people and other dogs
🏡 Fully housetrained
🦮 Great on a leash
🎓 Knows basic commands (come, sit, place, and more!)
With Tucker, you’re not taking a gamble—you're bringing home a dog whose personality, talents, and skills are already proven and ready to go!

📍 READY TO MEET TUCKER?

Trucker is officially ready for his forever home—and he can't wait to meet you!

🐕 HAPPY NATIONAL DOG DAY! 🐾
Today we celebrate the furry best friends who fill our homes (and couches!) with so much joy. Whether you're spoiling your pup with extra belly rubs or a special treat today, here are two simple ways to show them love and keep our entire community safe:
🛡️ 1. Keep Vaccinations Up-to-Date
Current rabies and core vaccinations are your dog's best defense against dangerous diseases. Keeping your pet fully vaccinated not only protects their health while exploring local parks and trails, but it also keeps neighboring pets and families safe!
📋 2. Register Your Dog with the City
City licensing is one of the fastest ways to reunite lost pets with their families. If your dog ever slips out of the yard, a current license tag ensures Animal Control can contact you right away to bring them home safely.

💡 How to register your dog:
📍 Where: Kearney City Hall (100 E. Washington St.)
📑 What to Bring: Download the application from our website and remember to bring your dog's current rabies vaccination.

Give your dog a big hug today, check those tag expiration dates, and help us keep Kearney safe and pet-friendly! Drop a photo of your dog in the comments below so we can celebrate them! 👇🐶❤️
