Town of Kearny extends gratitude and appreciation to Presenter Trish Dooley Budsock, MA LPC, CTTS for the amazing lifesaving presentation and sharing resources.

The MVC is coming to Kearny!

I’m proud to host the NJ Motor Vehicle Commission Mobile Unit at Kearny Town Hall on Monday, September 21 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Residents will be able to access several MVC services right here in the community, including REAL ID, registration renewals, non-driver IDs, duplicate titles or registrations, and more. Some services are also available without an appointment.

The Town of Kearny, together with the New Jersey Society Sons of the American Revolution, commemorated the 250th anniversary of American independence with the planting of a Liberty Tree at American Bicentennial Park next to Town Hall.
Council members Marytrine De Castro, George Zapata, Fred Esteves and Eileen Eckel joined members of the community for the ceremony, which included performances of the “Star-Spangled Banner” and “America the Beautiful” by the Kearny High School K-Birds.

The Liberty Tree will serve as a lasting tribute to America’s 250th anniversary and Kearny’s place in the nation’s continuing story.

The Town of Kearny commemorated the victims of September 11, 2001, with a solemn Flag Raising and Remembrance Ceremony at Town Hall’s American Revolution Bicentennial Park.

Mayor Carol Jean Doyle honored the seven Kearny residents who lost their lives that day, L. Patrick Dickinson, Antoinette Duger, Judith A. Reese, Michell Lee Robotham, Antonio Rocha, George Strauch and Thomas Sullivan, by reading their names aloud as family members raised the 9/11 Remembrance Flag in their memory.

The ceremony included the Kearny High School K-Birds, led by music director Millie Gonzalez, performing the National Anthem; a bagpipe rendition of Amazing Grace by George King; and a benediction by Deacon John P. Sarnas.

We remember the lives lost, honor their families and loved ones, and stand with all those forever affected by the events of September 11, 2001.
