The Town of Kearny was proud to honor its senior community at the 35th Annual Senior Picnic, hosted by Mayor Carol Jean Doyle and the Town Council.

Hundreds of Kearny seniors gathered for an afternoon of great food, music, dancing, laughter, and friendship. Seniors also enjoyed raffle drawings featuring prizes generously donated by Mayor Carol Jean Doyle and Council members Marytrine De Castro, Gerald Ficeto, George Zapata, Dennis Solano, Stathis Theodoropoulos, and Fred Esteves.

The Kearny Police and Fire Departments volunteered their time to grill hamburgers and hot dogs for attendees, while Mr. Softie helped keep everyone cool with complimentary ice cream.

A beloved Kearny tradition, the Senior Picnic is open to all Kearny residents age 55 and older and is offered free of charge each year.

The Town extends its sincere thanks to the many volunteers, staff members, and sponsors whose generosity and dedication made this memorable day possible.
