🚧 Taylor Park Restroom Renovation Update 🚧

We wanted to provide an update on the renovation of the restrooms at Taylor Park.

Unfortunately, the work is taking longer than originally anticipated. During the renovation, some unexpected issues were discovered that needed to be addressed before the project could continue. The project has also been delayed while we wait for some necessary materials to arrive.

At this time, we do not have a reliable estimate for when the renovation will be completed, but we will provide another update as soon as we have more information.

We know the extended closure is an inconvenience, and we sincerely appreciate everyone's patience and understanding while this work is completed properly.

A portable restroom remains available on-site for park visitors in the meantime.

Thank you for your patience as we work to make these improvements to Taylor Park! 🌳

The Mayor & Council Meeting on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 7:00 pm at Town Hall is open to the public, but will go into closed session to discuss an investigative proceeding on criminal conduct. Notice is hereby given by the Mayor and Council of the Town of Keedysville, as its duly constituted legislative body, that a joint Public Hearing of the Mayor and Council and Keedysville Water Commission will be held in Council Chambers, Town Hall, on Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 6:45 P.M. The hearing is being scheduled pursuant to the provisions of the Annotated Code of Maryland and the Charter of the Town of Keedysville, to consider whether or not to revise the quarterly water rates, water service fixed rate fee, water service connection fees and/or debt service fee. A copy of the existing rates and proposed revisions are on file in the Office of the Town Clerk, Town Hall, Keedysville, Maryland. Same may be copied or inspected in that office and it is incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof for convenience and economy. Pursuant to the Maryland Open Meetings Law, notice is hereby given that the deliberations of the Mayor and Council and Water Commission are open to the public. The Mayor and Council will make a determination as to whether or not to revise the quarterly water rates, water service fixed rate, water service connection fee and/or debt service fee. The determination will be made at a regular meeting to be held following the Public Hearing or will be made at a meeting to be held at a later date, the date and time of which will be announced. Individuals requiring special accommodation are requested to contact Lisa Riner at 301-432-5795. 🚧 Taylor Park Restrooms Closed for Renovations 🚧

Exciting improvements are coming to Taylor Park! Beginning Monday, August 3, 2026, the park restrooms will be closed for renovations as we make upgrades to improve the facility for everyone who enjoys our park.

The restrooms are expected to reopen by August 31, 2026. A portable restroom will be available on-site during the renovation period for park visitors. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience while this work is underway.

This renovation project is being funded through the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Program Open Space Grant. We are grateful for this funding, which allows us to continue investing in Keedysville's parks and recreational amenities for residents and visitors alike.

Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to the improved facilities at the end of August!

The Mayor & Council will hold a Special Meeting on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 7:00 pm at Town Hall to discuss the Historic Mt. Vernon Reformed Church Slate Roof Replacement Project and review the bids received for the project. The meeting is open to the public, and all interested residents are welcome to attend.
