Magnolia by the Lakes is a resort-style luxury independent and assisted living Village on the shores of Cass Lake in Oakland County, Keego Harbor, Mich.

Magnolia by the Lakes is a premier European senior living village overlooking Cass and Sylvan Lakes in Oakland County, Michigan. Magnolia offers luxurious villas and studios with stunning views of magnificent Cass Lake and calm, graceful Sylvan Lake. The resort houses independent, elder, and assisted living communities. The center of the village activities is the Village Square with shops, restaurants and lake-view seating. On-site Medical Center, indoor therapeutic pool, beauty salon and a fully equipped spa are connected to the five-story Magnolia South via enclosed overhead walkway. Boating, fishing, and golf are a few of the Village activities.

Today, Dr. Farideh R. Bagne, Founder, President & CEO of Magnolia by the Lakes Senior Resort, presented a lecture at the Bloomfield Senior Center entitled “The Secrets of Longevity.” This is part of a series of lectures provided by the Educational Program of Magnolia by the Lakes. Judging from the comments received from the participants, not only it was well-attended, but it was also well received.

On this day, one year ago, Magnolia by the Lakes Senior Resort lost a jewel- a Resident with angelic voice whose passion for music was a source of joy and inspiration for her friends, family and thousands of others who were touched by her beauty, her smile and her music. We, at Magnolia, remember Jan Albright for all her attributes and above all her angelic voice. We are grateful to Michael Albright, her husband and companion for 62 years , for keeping Jan’s memory alive by having this Memorial Service and for generously donating a new keyboard to Magnolia. In honor of Jan, this keyboard is named: “Jannie Lou Keyboard.” May Jan rest in peace forever.
