Assistant Chief Engelsman has been a dedicated member of the district since 2014 and has worked diligently towards the success and advancement of the district.

On April 11, 2026, the fire district took time to celebrate and show appreciation for our staff and all that they have accomplished throughout the year.
We proudly recognize the accomplishments of our members from 2025.
Five Years of Service: Lieutenant Bates, Lieutenant Bird, and Lieutenant Rich.
Retirement: Volunteer firefighter Corey Huwa.
Firefighter of the Year: Lieutenant Becker, Engineer Strong, Engineer Walker and Firefighter Marshall.
Chiefs Award: Lieutenant Nathaniel Bird.
Unit Commendation Service Award: Battalion Chief Engelsman, Lieutenant Bates, Lieutenant Bird, Engineer Steckel, Engineer Walker, Firefighter Davison, Firefighter Gorham, Firefighter McLain and Firefighter Musgrave.

Beginning today, April 6th, monthly tornado siren testing will be conducted in Keenesburg and Prospect Valley. Testing will take place on the first Monday of each month at 12 PM through the month of September.
