A Big Thank You to Our Neighbors and Community Partners!

This morning, the Keeseville Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire, and we are incredibly grateful for the outpouring of support from our neighboring communities. A heartfelt thank you to the fire departments of Peru, Morrisonville, Cadyville, South Plattsburgh, Willsboro, Ausable Forks, and Lewis for your quick response and mutual aid.
Your professionalism, dedication, and teamwork helped ensure the safety of our community. We are fortunate to have such strong partnerships in the region, and we couldn’t have done it without all of you.

A special thank you to our local community members and the Keeseville Auxiliary who brought refreshments to the scene. Your generosity and thoughtfulness helped keep our teams energized during a challenging situation. It’s this kind of support that makes our community so special.

To all the first responders and support teams, your hard work is deeply appreciated!

Thank you, from the Keeseville Volunteer Fire Department.

At 1730 hours on Saturday 7/12 Keeseville Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a passing train sighting smoke in the area of Corlear Bay rd. Keeseville units responded finding the smoke to be coming from an area off of Port Douglas Rd. Due to the remote location, excess heat, and humidity additional manpower was called from several departments and agencies for operations. Operations were ceased around 2100 hrs due to fading daylight. Operations resumed Sunday morning with multiple agencies assisting in extinguishing efforts. After an additional 9 hours of operations on Sunday the fire had been 100% contained and extinguished. We would like to thank all of our mutual aid agencies and agencies that we worked with during this operation for the hard work and long hours put forth. Great work by all!
