Our newest additions to the Keiser City Park have officially arrived — an outdoor exercise bike and a leg extension machine!

Thanks to the support of an AARP Community Challenge Grant, these two pieces of equipment are being installed today. Once they’re bolted down, they’ll be ready for everyone to enjoy.

Our park continues to grow one grant at a time, and it’s exciting to see each new piece come together. Thank you to everyone who uses, supports, and believes in the improvements we’re making for our community.

The app is free, and when something important happens (including weather alerts), the notification goes straight to your phone so you know what’s happening right away.

Today we submitted an $881,850 grant application to ANRC for the installation of self‑reading water meters.

If awarded, this project will allow us to obtain readings quickly and accurately, reduce system errors, and identify potential leaks much sooner — helping us prevent water loss and improve overall efficiency.

We will share updates as the application moves through the review process.

Today, the City of Keiser submitted a $949,000 grant request to fund a new aerator and chlorinator for our municipal water system.

If awarded, this investment will substantially enhance water quality and strengthen the long‑term reliability of our infrastructure.

🚨 BOIL ORDER LIFTED – City of Keiser 🚨

The Arkansas Department of Health has officially lifted our boil water notice. Water can now be used normally for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, and all other household needs.

We are still awaiting the results from the Arkansas Department of Health on our two required water samples.

Until the Health Department officially releases us, please continue to boil your water for at least one minute before drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes.

As soon as we receive their decision, we will immediately provide an update to the community.

📢 Mississippi County Fall Clean Up – September 11 & 12

Mississippi County Government is hosting a County‑Wide Fall Clean Up on September 11th and 12th, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day at the Mississippi County Landfill.

Residents can dispose of unwanted trash and waste at no cost — including tires.

🚨 WATER SYSTEM UPDATE – City of Keiser 🚨

Our chlorinator has been fully repaired, and we are no longer running on Osceola’s water supply.

To lift the Boil Water Notice, the Arkansas Department of Health requires two consecutive approved water samples, each taken 24 hours apart.

🧪 Testing Schedule
• First sample: Tomorrow morning
• Second sample: Monday morning
(The weekend delays the required 24‑hour testing cycle.)

If both samples pass, we expect official approval from the Health Department Tuesday or Wednesday, which would allow us to lift the Boil Order.

Until then, please continue to boil your water for at least one minute before drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes — or use bottled water.

Thank you for your patience as we work through the final steps to ensure safe water for everyone.

🚨 PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE – City of Keiser 🚨

Due to a malfunction in our water chlorination system, the City of Keiser is issuing a Precautionary Boil Water Notice effective immediately.

The city is currently receiving a temporary water supply from the City of Osceola while repairs are underway.

⚠️ Until further notice, please BOIL all water for at least 1 full minute before using it for:
✅ Drinking
✅ Making ice
✅ Brushing teeth
✅ Cooking or preparing food
✅ Baby formula
✅ Washing fruits & vegetables

Water for bathing, laundry, and flushing toilets is generally safe for most people.

👶 Extra care is urged for infants, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.

The notice will be lifted as soon as testing confirms the water meets all Arkansas Department of Health safety standards. We will post an update here the moment it is cleared.
