Salem friends near the high school, Skye is a friendly gray and white spayed cat that has been missing from the 300 block of William Street since Wednesday evening. She is well loved and has family actively looking for her so please reach out with any helpful information.🐾

Salem area friends near the Marion County Fiargrounds area, these 2 male dogs snuck out of their home about 7:00 this morning. They are both wearing orange collars and have family out looking for them. They would appreciate any help with getting them home.🐾

When you adopt from a shelter/rescue/humane society/animal control program, not only are the animals current/started on their age appropriate vaccinations but they are also already microchipped and sterilized too!
Each Saturday we welcome walk-in visitors from 11-1 to meet and mingle with our adoptable animals. If this day and time doesn’t work well with your plans, please just give us a call to set ones that do….we schedule shelter visits daily.

Words can’t express how excited we are for a kitten who has lived well over half of her short life here with us now finding her new forever family.🥰
For weeks, Mary has done her very best to win the hearts of multiple potential adopters with no success. Everyone loved her but just chose different kittens to adopt….and now we know why. Mary was supposed to find these precious girls to befriend and love. Our hearts are full.💗

Let’s keep ALL pets safe during this extreme heat! Whether they have fur, feathers, or scales, every animal is at risk when temperatures soar.

☀️Heat Safety Tips:

💧Always provide plenty of fresh, cool water.
🏡 Keep pets INDOORS whenever possible or provide shaded, well-ventilated areas.
🌅 Walk dogs early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are cooler.
⚠️Check the pavement with the back of your hand for 7 seconds—if it's too hot for you, it's too hot for their paws.
🚗 Never leave a pet in a parked vehicle. Even with the windows cracked, temperatures can become deadly within minutes.
🚨Watch for signs of heatstroke, including excessive panting, drooling, vomiting, weakness, bright red gums, confusion, or collapse.
**If you notice these signs, seek veterinary care immediately.**

🐰 Don't forget about rabbits, birds, reptiles, livestock, and other small animals—they also need extra shade, cool water, and airflow during hot weather.

❤️ This is a great time to check on elderly neighbors, outdoor pets, and community animals. A bowl of fresh water or a little extra kindness can truly save a life.
