We're excited to be part of this great America 250-Ohio trail that celebrates the waterways history of our great state!

Ohio’s waterways aren’t just pretty views — they’re the lifeblood of our history.
From the waves of Lake Erie to the banks of the Ohio River, these “highways of hope” built towns, fueled industry, and connected communities for generations.

The new Lake Erie to Ohio River Trail from America 250-Ohio invites you to follow their path with 150 sites across the state — including 17 Ohio state parks.

🚤 Ride a ferry to an island getaway.
🌊 Stand in the shadow of historic lighthouses.
🚶‍♀️ Walk along old canal towpaths.
🌿 Take in the views from river overlooks.

It’s the third of six new driving trails leading up to the nation’s 250th birthday — and your ticket to exploring the stories written in Ohio’s waters.

Kelleys Island State Park was under siege by 150 scouts this past weekend. Yes,150!
The excuse for their visit was to clean our beach. Well that many scouts needed more than beach cleanup.
The scouts cleaned the beach, picked up trash, mulched our new trees, cut woody plants out of our pollinator fields and straightening up around buildings.
When the work was done, we enjoyed giving the group a tour of the Glacial Grooves, Lakeside Daisy fields and the Crusher Building. Some even went fossil hunting at the Park's stone beach.
We would like to thank all the members of the BSA, Lake Erie Council. A job well done and we hope a great experience for all!
We are very grateful for all the help!
