Hey everyone! Get ready because Silver Valley Fire Rescue's mobile Santa is coming to town! 🎅 We're so excited to spread some holiday cheer and bring the magic of Santa right to your neighborhood.

To make this event even more special, we're asking for your help in collecting canned food donations for those in need. Please drop off your non-perishable items when you see Santa on his fire 🚒!!!

Santa In Kellogg Tomorrow. December 20th!!!!

Santa is coming to Kellogg December 20th for the Mobile Santa Food Drive. Santa and Firefighters will be collecting non preshhiable food for the local food banks.

Santa will in Kellogg Saturday December 20th starting at 5:30!!! We will see you tomorrow Kellogg!

Santa’s Engine is ready for tonight!! He will be in smelterville, pinehurst and Kingston! We are collecting canned food for a food drive donating it to local food banks.

One petition was turned into Shoshone County Courthouse in Wallace, Idaho on October 3, 2025, with findings of insufficiently filing and did not meet statue as House Bill 208 outlines the law. Per the District’s attorney Brian Werst, approved to proceed with the Fire District consolidation.

As of October 6th, we have began the paperwork to consolidate with Shoshone Fire District #1 Firefighters. This page will remain active until the end of the year. Please follow us at Silver Valley Fire Rescue.

Shoshone County Fire District #2 is not running a levy in the November election. We are trying to Consolidate with Fire District #1 in an effort to increase Firefighter safety, improve a coordinated response, promote Firefighter retention and eliminate the redundancies in apparatus and equipment.

With the consolidation, our budget will combine with Fire District #1's budget. In order for this to happen, the levy rates will have to equalize so that everyone is paying the same rate. Yes, this means the tax rate for District 2's residents will increase. It is estimated that the increase will be $8.65 per $100K in property value.
