Almost all votes have been tabulated, and I am advancing to the November 7 general election with over 52% of the primary vote. My opponent will be Andrew Larson. Election Day is August 1! My guiding principle as a Kelso School Director is to support the District Mission Statement. "The mission of Kelso Public Schools is to prepare every student for living, learning, and achieving success as a citizen of our changing world." Be sure exercise your right to vote!

During my 15 years on the Kelso School Board, the District has transformed facilities. First in 2001, then in 2018, Kelso voters passed bonds by supermajorities. I am proud to represent a community that invests in its students. These plaques at schools that were newly built or remodeled show the names of educators and board members who I have been privileged to work with.

At Kelso graduation June10. I shook hands with 359 graduates. The goal is 100% of students graduate; graduation rate has increased from 85 to 90% during my recent term. A diploma is the greatest gift we can give Kelso students!
