Gusty Showers Bringing Wind and Hail to Southwestern Cowlitz County

What’s Happening:

Gusty showers are impacting southwestern Cowlitz County, including the areas near Kalama and Kelso, and Longview, These showers are moving north at 15 mph.

Affected Areas:

Kalama
Rose Valley
Longview
What to Expect:

Landspouts are possible.
Wind gusts up to 40 mph.
Pea size hail.

Impacts:

Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.

🪵Loggers came off the train looking for exactly one thing after a hard week in the woods: a good time. Kelso gave it to them with bars on every corner, card games in the back room, and company that didn't ask too many questions.

Haussler RD will be closed for private utility tie in, between Apple Ln & West Vista Way, traffic control will be set in place. All areas indicated in the map attached will have proper signage. Areas will be closed except for local access. Expect delays in these areas during construction.
