The City of Kempner would like to sincerely thank everyone who attended our Memorial Day Service at Sylvia Tucker Memorial Park.

Our community came together to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Your presence helped make this tribute meaningful and reminded us all of the importance of remembering those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

We extend our gratitude to all participants, volunteers, speakers, veterans, and community members who helped make today’s ceremony possible.

May we continue to honor our fallen heroes not only on Memorial Day, but every day through gratitude, service, and remembrance.

We will be closing Sylvia Tucker Memorial Park on March 31, 2026, for scheduled tree removal. The park will remain closed for the duration of the work to ensure the safety of the public. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation while this maintenance is completed.

Due to weather concerns and road conditions tomorrow- staff will NOT risk their safety nor risk being a burden on public safety resources tomorrow, January 27th.

I have ordered City Hall to be shut down tomorrow.

City Hall will be closed on Monday, January 26th, as a result of hazardous road conditions forecasted to persist through tomorrow. Normal business hours are scheduled to resume on Tuesday, January 27th.
