We’re honored and grateful to announce that the Sarecta Fire Department has been awarded a grant through the 2026 Volunteer Fire Grant Fund from the State of North Carolina and DOI. This funding will help us purchase much needed equipment so we can continue serving and protecting our community safely and effectively.

Every dollar invested into volunteer fire departments is an investment into the people we serve. We’re thankful for the continued support from the Office of State Fire Marshal, our local community, and every firefighter who sacrifices their time for others.

This isn’t just about equipment, it’s about being better prepared when our community needs us most. 🚒🇺🇸

Call #13
3/4/2026 @ 1336; units dispatched to a brush fire. Units arrived and found small brush pile that got away from homeowner. Crews extinguished fire and cleared scene.

Call #14
3/4/2026 @ 1502; units dispatched for a service call/possible illegal burn. Car 4 arrived on scene and was unable to locate any fire or issues that required fire response. Car 4 cancelled all units.

3/6/2026 @ 0853; units dispatched automatic aid to Beulaville for a residential structure fire. Shortly after dispatch, mutual aid units were cancelled. All Sarecta units remained in station.

3/10/2026 @ 1850; units dispatched to a MVC. Units arrived on scene and established traffic control. NC SHP arrived on scene and began investigation. Once vehicle blocking roadway was removed, all Sarecta units cleared scene and returned to station.

3/12/2026 @ 1602; units dispatched mutual aid to Kenansville for a two vehicle MVC. Units responded and shut road down at NC 24 x Kenansville Bypass per Incident Command. Once incident was handled, IC released all units to return to station.

3/12/2026 @ 1646; units dispatched to a tree down during previous call. Brush left scene of previous call and responded to assist with shutting roadway down for utility crew. After being cleared from scene, Rescue 20 responded as well. After roadway was clear and power lines repaired, units cleared and returned to station.

3/16/2026 @ 2142; units were dispatched per Car 4 for storm damage cleanup. Crews responded and removed tree from roadway then cleared scene.

3/16/2026 @ 2149; units were dispatched to a tree in roadway. Some personnel responding to previous call were redirected to this incident. After first incident was handled, personnel responded and assisted with cleanup. Once clear, all units returned to station.

3/20/2026 @ 1102; units were dispatched automatic mutual aid to Beulaville for a commercial structure fire. Shortly after dispatch, all mutual aid units were cancelled. All Sarecta units remained in station.

3/20/2026 @ 2006; units were dispatched automatic mutual aid to Kenansville for a brush fire endangering structure. Units responded and assisted with extinguishment. Once incident had been handled, Kenansville IC released all units to return to station.

2/18/2026 @ 1916; units dispatched automatic mutual aid to Warsaw for a residential structure fire. Shortly after dispatch, Sarecta units were cancelled and returned to station.

2/23/2026 @ 1131; units dispatched to a commercial fire alarm activation. Car 4 arrived on scene and found nothing showing from exterior. Car 4 made contact with security guard, who advised there was no fire and alarm activation was a false activation. Car 4 advised all units not on scene to cancel.

1/8/2026 @ 1749; units were diaptched to a single vehicle accident. Car 1 arrived on scene and found a vehicle in woods approx 40-50 yards from roadway. Crews arrived on scene and shut one lane down due to personnel on scene and being there for a an extended period of time. Once all investigations were complete and vehicle had been recovered, all crews cleared scene and returned to station.

1/9/2026 @ 1046; units were dispatched to a 2 vehicle accident. Crews arrived on scene and found both vehicles off roadway. Units remained on scene and cleared glass from roadway. Shortly after, Incident Command released all units to return to station.

1/12/2026 @ 0641; units were dispatched automatic mutual aid to Beulaville for a residential structure fire. Units responded and stood by on scene as fire was out prior to arrival. After ventilating the house of smoke, Beulaville Incident Command released all unitss to return to station.

1/13/2026 @ 1619; units were dispatched to a two vehicle accident. Car 4 arrived on scene and found both vehicles off roadway. Had responding units downgrade to routine traffic. Shortly after arrival of NC SHP, units were released to return to station.

1/17/2026 @ 1128; units were dispatched to a water rescue. Unit arrived on scene, with CPR in progress. Crews handled incident and were then cleared by Incident Command.
