Kenbridge Police Department to looking for James Edward Watson, Jr. His wallet was turned in this morning at the police department. If someone knows how to reach him, please have him come to the police department to pick his wallet up.

Please look out for the new traffic pattern at KES starting Monday, February 9th

As we make preparations for additional students at Kenbridge Elementary School, we have revised our car rider route. This change will be effective Monday, February 9, 2026. Drop off and pick up will continue to be from the gym. Please be sure to enter Brydie Street from Nottoway Falls Rd. Turn left onto North Market St. Turn left onto West 2nd Ave. Enter the KES parking lot at the ENTER sign. Pick up/drop off your student. Exit the parking lot at the EXIT sign. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work together to keep all students safe. If you have questions, please contact Ms. Matthews or Mrs. Forehand at 434-676-2491. Thank you.

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY!!! The weather is suppose to be great. Come out and meet your local law enforcement, first responders and community representatives. There will be games, face painting, free hot dogs, chips and drinks. Hope to see everyone there!!!

Please join us on Tuesday August 5, 2025 from 5-7 p.m. for Lunenburg County's Annual National Night Out. This year's event will be held in the Kenbridge Town Park and will feature Free Hotdogs, Chips and a drink. We will also have Tin Can Coffee, JuneBee's Ice Cream and Snowie's on hand (additional cost). Free School Supplies, Face Painting, a Bouncy House and a Dunking Booth will be some of the activities for you to enjoy. A Life Evac Helicopter (weather and mission permitting) will be here and on display along with your local Fire and Rescue vehicles. Come on out and enjoy a fun filled evening with your local law enforcement and community organizations. Hope to see you there!!!

Mr. Coleman has been safely located and has been returned to the assisted living facility. We would like to thank everyone who provided information about his whereabouts. Stay Safe

***Missing Person***
Kenbridge Police Department is currently searching for Nathan Coleman, 74 y.o. B/M. Mr. Coleman walked away from an Assisted Living Facility this morning, unknown clothing and unknown direction of travel. Kenbridge Police are currently obtaining all information to have Mr. Coleman entered as missing and attempting to have a Senior Alert issued. Mr. Coleman has ties to the Danville and Halifax, Virginia areas. If you happen to see Mr. Coleman, please call the Lunenburg County Sheriff’s Office dispatch at 434-696-4452. More information will be added once it is obtained.

Possibly seen this morning around 6:30am on Route 40, Blackstone Road trying to flag down traffic. Subject seen was wearing a blue coat and dark jeans.

Tomorrow is the Town of Kenbridge Annual July Jubilee. The event will kick off with a parade starting at 10am. Please use caution around this time as certain sections of S. Broad Street, W. 6th and E. 6th and E. 5th Avenue will be closed. Beginning at 9:15, W. 6th will be closed from S. Broad to S. Commerce to allow for parade line up. At 10am, S. Broad will close from 6th Ave to 5th Ave. E 5th will close from Broad to Grace Street for parade traffic. Please use the side streets to navigate around this detour. Thanks.
