We are writing to express concern regarding the conduct and participation of the Mayor during the recent council meeting regarding the data center.
At a time when the governing body was faced with important and potentially difficult discussions, all other members of the council made the effort to attend in person. In contrast, the Mayor chose to participate remotely. While remote participation may be permissible under certain circumstances, leadership often requires a visible, engaged presence—particularly during meetings of significance to the community.
Additionally, during a critical portion of the discussion, the Mayor’s video feed was "lost", which further limited her ability to actively participate and lead. This raises concerns about reliability, preparedness, and commitment to fulfilling the responsibilities of the office during key public proceedings.
Residents expect consistent, engaged leadership from elected officials. Showing up—both physically and professionally—during important meetings is a fundamental part of that responsibility. I respectfully urge the Mayor and council to establish clear expectations regarding attendance and to prioritize in-person participation whenever possible, especially during meetings involving significant community impact.
Do Kenilworth a favor and resign so we can get true leadership.
