Current Update: Power has been restored.

Traffic Power Outage Notification

A tractor trailer struck a power line causing a power outage affecting one block near Kenly Hardware and the area of 6th Street. The power company has been notified and hopefully service will be restored as soon as possible. No impact on travel at this time.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and we will continue to keep the community updated on this matter.

Community Kindness Making a Difference

This week…Reverend Holder with St. James Church of Christ stopped by bearing gifts and support for those in need within our community. Reverend Holder provided clothing for community members in need, as well as financial assistance and clothing for the child who suffered severe frostbite and malnourishment earlier this year.

We are truly grateful not only to Reverend Holder…but to everyone who has stepped forward to help this child and support families in need throughout our community. Acts of kindness like these remind us of the compassion and strength that exists within Kenly. Kenly Pride & Kenly Proud!

Honoring Our Officers Through Community Support

Yesterday…Councilwoman Tasha Neal stopped by and presented gift cards to each officer in support of last week’s National Law Enforcement Week, recognizing their bravery, service, and dedication to keeping our community safe.

Gestures like this truly mean a great deal to our officers and remind us how fortunate we are to serve such a supportive community. We are sincerely thankful for the encouragement and appreciation shown to our department.

SNACK ATTACK: Kitchen Goat Feeds Delivers Emergency Officer Fuel During NATIONAL LAW ENFORCEMENT WEEK!

During National Law Enforcement Week…we were surprised with snacks and drinks from Jason Knapp and Nichole Conigliaro with Kitchen Goat Feeds, and we are incredibly thankful for their kindness and support of our officers.

Right now, the snacks are safe… but based on future projections and officer traffic through the patrol room, scientists predict total disappearance by the end of the week.

Thank you Jason and Nichole for supporting the Kenly Police Department and helping keep our team fueled up and appreciated!

Big Hearts Making a Big Difference in Kenly!

Kitchen Goat Feeds was proudly selected as the CBS 17 3 Degree Guarantee charity for March 2026, receiving an amazing $2,400 donation through the program.

Here’s the fun part…every evening during the CBS 17 Storm Team weather forecast, the meteorologists put their accuracy to the test. If the forecast lands within 3 degrees of the actual temperature, CBS 17 and Michael & Son donate to charity. Turns out, being right about the weather can change lives!

Today…Jason Knapp with Kitchen Goat Feeds presented the Kenly Police Department with $1,200 from that donation to help individuals and families battling cancer offset financial hardships during difficult times.

We are truly grateful for Jason and the entire Kitchen Goat Feeds organization for their kindness, generosity, and servant hearts.

Let us continue to show true generosity through love, kindness, and desire to help others.

The energy is electric at the Kenly 95 Jamboree & Truck Show!

Families are making memories…the live band is rocking tonight, and the big rigs are lighting up the sky with incredible theatrical lights and chrome that will leave you speechless!

One special moment captured the heart of the event…a father and son in cowboy hats walking side by side, picking out their favorite truck of the show. Moments like these are what community is all about.

And yes…the Kenly Police Department is having a great time too! Our officers are out enjoying the fellowship, meeting families, and taking in the incredible atmosphere alongside the community we proudly serve.

If you missed the excitement tonight, don’t worry…the fun continues tomorrow from 9 AM to 3 PM! Come experience the entertainment, the fellowship, and some of the most amazing trucks around.

Kenly is the place to be this weekend!
