There has been an uptick in stolen vehicles recently in the area, primarily involving vehicles that have been left running to warm up. These are crimes of opportunity, so keep the following in mind:

• Keep your vehicle locked
• Do not leave a spare key, valet key, or key fob in the vehicle
• Do not leave a car running unattended. Even if you keep the fob with you there’s a good chance your car can still be driven away without it.
• The only safe way to warm up an unattended car is by using a remote starter

As always, if you see something suspicious call 911 to report it.

Please remember to also remove any extra or spare keys from all your vehicles, including valet keys and remember to lock your car.....FYI THE VILLAGE BOARD DID END UP EXTENDING IT AGAIN UNTIL JANUARY 1ST 2021...SORRY FOR ANY CONFUSION

Outstanding job KPD for collecting toys for the Town of Tonawanda’s Town of Tonawanda Youth, Parks & Recreation annual toy drive! The donation was huge (not gonna lie, the donut maker was my favorite! 🍩💙). We had a chance to talk about some great ideas for collaboration....can’t wait! #staytuned 🎁❤️ Village of Kenmore Police Department

The news everyone has been asking about today. As of the time of this post the WINTER PARKING BAN IN THE VILLAGE OF KENMORE will NOT go into effect tonight BUT has been delayed until DECEMBER 15th 2020. Please be smart if the weather forecasters get it right, and they are calling for overnight snow to please move your car into your driveway. This way the world renowned Village of Kenmore DPW can get the streets clear. Thank you in advance for you anticipated cooperation.

Help out if you can

We are super excited to be teaming up with the Town of Tonawanda Youth, Parks & Recreation Department for their annual toy drive!!

Because of COVID restrictions, toy collection barrel locations are limited and may change. Right now, the Town has two public sites: the Municipal Building and Department of Youth Parks and Rec Office (299 Decatur) which will collect for the next several weeks. We wanted to help boost donations any way we could (I mean, you know us, right?? 😏) so here we are!

Here are the details:
-First, please share this post! Even if you can't give, maybe someone who sees this can! (THANK YOU!!)

-We are accepting NEW UNWRAPPED toys for children of all ages

-The event is Saturday, December 5th 9 AM - 1 PM.

-Contactless drop off at the Jefferson Building (the building is at 250 Athens but drop off is on the Oakvale Blvd side of building in the parking lot). Pull up to door number two and one of our volunteers will be happy to assist.

-Suggested gift value is $10-$20 but please give whatever you can. ❤️ Gift cards are accepted.

-All gifts stay here in to bring joy to the children within the Village of Kenmore/Town of Tonawanda

-A friendly challenge: can you get your friends or company to buy 10 gifts? If so, please send us a picture to post of your group with your donations (you can PM us or email to [email protected]). Let's celebrate our community partners!

-If you shop through Amazon, please consider using Amazon Smile and designating us as your charity. It doesn't cost you anything and we get a portion of the sale. If you would like to purchase through Amazon and have it sent to us, please send us a private message for our residential address. Please do NOT send things to our physical location as we are only there 2 days a week.

We know there will be a great need this holiday season. Thank you for helping keep the joy of the season alive! Much love to you all! ✌🏼❤️😃😷

It's that time of year again, No Shave November. A time when we temporarily loosen our strict grooming standards and allow our beards to grow free and unfettered in order to bring awareness to cancer research and prevention. Officers make a donation for this privilege and all proceeds will be matched by the West Seneca Police Benevolent Association and be donated to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and Wings Flights of Hope. It's for a great cause and it also helps eliminate issues like this around the station-
