It's that time of year again, No Shave November. A time when we temporarily loosen our strict grooming standards and allow our beards to grow free and unfettered in order to bring awareness to cancer research and prevention. Officers make a donation for this privilege and all proceeds will be matched by the West Seneca Police Benevolent Association and be donated to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and Wings Flights of Hope. It's for a great cause and it also helps eliminate issues like this around the station-

Will we see you this weekend?!

10/29/2020

we are getting the usual phone calls regarding the winter parking rules. A few years ago the Village board changed the dates of the winter overnight parking dates as winters have not been what they were years ago.

Section 21-90 of the Village of Kenmore ordinance.

The standing or parking of vehicles is hereby prohibited on all streets and highways within the village between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., beginning November 15 of each year and ending March 15 of the next succeeding year.

The mayor, may authorize a change in the start or end dates to address weather or other emergency conditions

Recycle those broken electronics

***UPDATE 10/30*** Due to the overwhelming participation in the electronic drive, TODAY 10/30 will be the LAST day that we will be accepting electronics. We will keep everyone updated on the amount of the donation. We thank everyone who participated and encourage you to pass along this information. Camp Good Days will be pleased with your participation!!

***UPDATE 10/29*** FYI: Due to limited space and packaging requirements, we are no longer able to accept tube TVs or monitors. Because of the high cost of recycling them, a donation is actually not able to be made to Camp Good Days for those materials. We are still accepting all other materials listed below.

Have any old electronics you're looking to recycle while also helping out a good cause? Drop them off at Riverside FCU's Kenmore branch, located at 2853 Delaware Avenue, during business hours from now until November 19. We are participating in a fundraiser called e-Scrap for Camp. e-Scrap for Camp was created by electronics recycling company Sunnking in 2010 to support Camp Good Days and Special Times Inc. Funds raised through recycling electronics are donated to improve the quality of life for children, adults, and families whose lives have been touched by cancer. Attached is a list of acceptable materials to recycle. If you have any questions, please reach out to our head teller Becca Gunning at 716-875-1747 ext. 152 or [email protected].

On September 11, 2001, America was rocked by the worst terrorist attack in modern day history when two planes struck the World Trade Center in New York City. Nearly 3,000 innocent people lost their lives that day, and so today we observe Patriot Day and all that it represents: our country’s resilience, the strength of the American spirit, and the value of human life
