***I Want No Part in Those Politics***

Let me give it to you straight. This video demonstrates exactly the kinds of politics I want no part of: backroom maneuvering, a lack of transparency, and efforts to advance a narrowly tailored partisan agenda.

On September 24, 2026, during a public Legislative Council session, my opponent, State Rep. Dan Sayre, a member of the Progressive Caucus, advocated for the caucus to obtain a “policy and communications director” position after raising $100,000 from “undisclosed” donors. The proposed salary would be routed through the Maine People’s Alliance (MPA).

Here’s another important piece of context: MPA has endorsed Rep. Sayre and spent independently in favor of his State Senate campaign to beat me. So he owes them a thing or two! I’d contend that relationship makes transparency around this proposed arrangement all the more important.

This proposal raises serious ethical questions about donor disclosure, potential conflicts of interest, and whether a position funded through outside interests to advance a caucus’s policy agenda teeters on the line between caucus staff and a privately funded lobbyist.

What makes this video particularly refreshing, however, is the bipartisan pushback. Leaders from both the House and Senate, representing different parties and ideological perspectives, raised serious ethical and transparency concerns about the proposal, including leaders from Rep. Sayre’s own party.

I commend these leaders for scrutinizing the arrangement and recognizing the precedent it could set. Party affiliation should never mean a free pass, and protecting the integrity of our Legislature should never be a partisan issue.

Throughout this campaign, I’ve emphasized putting people over partisanship and focusing on the issues that matter most to our five towns, especially the cost of living. Voters deserve representatives who prioritize the concerns affecting their daily lives.

***The final countdown is on!!***
The state reports that there are 34,568 registered voters in Senate District 34, and the other day we crossed the 30,000 mark (30,504 to be exact) for the number of voters we have connected with through door-knocking, peer-to-peer letters, phone-banking, and text-banking.

This campaign has been an all-out effort from our team since the start and I am grateful to have worked alongside them. With a little over a week to go until the election, having as many of these meaningful conversations as possible is the goal, and I hope to encourage you (both then and now) to make your plan to vote on or by November 3.

So to the 4,064 of our neighbors that our campaign hasn't yet had the pleasure of engaging with, I am hopeful to shake your hand and share in what I believe will be our common ideal for a politics that embodies principle and legislating over labels. Let's put our best foot forward starting next session. I'd be honored to earn your vote to do just that.

It is truly an honor to have received video and written endorsements from so many community members in Senate District 34 over the course of our campaign, including from an ideologically diverse coalition of current and former elected members of our state legislature. What makes our support reach even more meaningful to me is that it has come from all sides of the political spectrum, from Democrats, Unenrolleds, and Republicans alike.

We can forge more meaningful policy progress when we work together, and in my capacity as a candidate, I believe I have demonstrated an ability to go beyond partisan labels to find common ground in my candid conversations with voters. ***⚾️Rep. Sayre misses outside, gets to full count!***
Third time's the charm, and this is the third time I have had to cover a Rep. Sayre proposal outside the strike zone of Senate District 34's priorities.

The prison system is by no means perfect, and in the nearly 10 years I have been an attorney I can speak as a professional in the field that the supervised release program needs reform. However, when we contend with the issues that impact our day to day life (affordability, education, infrastructure, etc), it seems that they haven't been on Rep. Sayre's radar nearly as much as jails have. I think that is a serious misalignment with the legislative results our district deserves, and that is why I am running this year.

So what would I do? I'd vote to repeal the sales tax on basic goods like water bottles that Tax Chair Rep. Sayre kept in place. I'd focus on investments in our children's classrooms so they don't fall behind because of the advancement of AI. I'd work to fortify our 400+ bridges that need repair so our local economies can thrive.

What I wouldn't do is sponsor hyper-partisan passion projects like my opponent has during his time in Augusta.

***A Celebration of Democracy***

I was grateful to cast my vote today, and I want to commend our town clerks and the volunteers who make early voting possible. Thank you for helping ensure our democracy works for everyone.

I also want to congratulate every candidate on the ballot, from the top of the ticket to the bottom. Being a candidate, especially in these divisive times, is no small undertaking.

Whatever the office, so much goes into a campaign. Candidates, campaign teams, and families dedicate countless hours and make real sacrifices, all for one fundamental reason: to participate in and uphold our democracy.

I’m incredibly humbled for the opportunity to be a candidate in this race, and most of all, I’m grateful to my family for their unwavering love and support throughout this journey.

Regardless of where you stand politically, please exercise your right to vote. It’s one of the most important privileges we have as Americans.

Thanks so much, Brian, for your kind endorsement. This letter means a great deal to me, especially coming from a law enforcement officer and fellow airman. If I’m blessed with the privilege of serving you and your family in Augusta, I will be a strong advocate for our veterans and all first responders.

Throughout this campaign, I’ve talked about how the rising cost of living is making it increasingly difficult for the very people who serve and protect our communities to afford to live in the communities they serve. That’s something we need to consider when developing and evaluating affordability policies. ***The Way Politics Should Be***

Here’s another picture that speaks to what our campaign is all about: people over partisanship.

When I posted a similar picture last week, some negative folks insinuated that I didn’t understand that those signs were simply on a public way, rather than on a homeowner’s property. Well, that wasn’t factual. That property owner was, in fact, a supporter of our campaign as well as Democratic candidates.

And in this picture, I can confirm the same thing: this is a homeowner who supports our campaign and Democratic candidates.

It’s a shame that we all have been conditioned and programmed to think that anybody who supports “people over partisanship” right now is another type of an extremist. If you sincerely want to turn down the division, bipartisanship and objective thought should be encouraged.

As such, these are real pictures shared with us by homeowners right here in our community who are proud to support our campaign alongside candidates from the other side of the aisle. And we’re proud of that, too, because it is rare for a candidate to be able to receive cross party endorsements, especially during these divisive times.

We’ve spent this campaign talking about civility, objectivity, and the importance of listening to people who may see things differently than we do. This is what that looks like in practice.

We don’t have to agree on every issue, or even vote for the same candidates, to respect one another and work toward a better future for Maine.

That’s the kind of civility and objectivity I would be honored to bring to Augusta as your next state senator.

"Maine needs...leaders like Jonathan Fallon who are willing to put working families first, and that is why I am supporting him this November." I am both honored and humbled to hear those words, thank you Annessa.

Having grown up as the son of a single mother, I understand the difficulties of making a dollar go further and having to contend with rising costs while paychecks don't stretch. To be recognized as a voice who will look out for working families is not something that I take for granted, but it is something I have remained committed to in a serious way.

For too many in the younger generations, homeownership seems out of reach, and it's sad. For the first time, the age of a first time homebuyer in this country reached 40. Rising costs to buy a house aren't being matched by rising wages and a lot of young people feel left behind by the offer of the American dream. That's not right, and that is why increasing homeownership is something I take great pride in as a policy area I'd champion in Augusta. For those who already own a home, the rising rates of property taxes are pricing many out from where they already live, which is why increasing the homestead exemption to $95,000 is at the bedrock of my policy platform when it comes to housing.

The ability to own a home is fundamental to the vision we need to offer the next generation. I've discovered that doing so requires the next generation of leaders to push for that change. That's why I'm running, and that's what you'll get from me as your next State Senator for District 34. 🦞🫡
