Jonathan R. Fallon for Maine Senate 34 Hi friends, I am J.R.

It was great joining Caleb Chase for Maine House for another outstanding event in Wells this past weekend! Thank you to Rep. Robert Foley and former Rep. Kathy Chase for the invitation. I was especially grateful that my family could join me, a rare opportunity with three young children at home. A special thanks to Ben Midgley for Governor for coming out to support us and our shared vision for Maine. He also crushed it on the grill!

Our bipartisan support continues to grow, and I believe that’s because I have been honest about who I am from day one: a dad, husband, combat veteran (with no n**i affiliated tattoos or vile Reddit posts), and part-small business owner who decided to run at a very inconvenient time because I believe all people of this district deserve a representative who understands the daily challenges families face.

I can promise you that I am not the stale, out of touch politician in this race making narrowly tailored, partisan decisions simply to appease Augusta. I look forward to making decisions based on facts, evidence, and the real-life experiences of the people I represent.

It’s pretty simple here, the voters of this district deserve a senator who personally understands the grind that so many folks regardless of the partisan bullfeather have experienced for years here in Maine.🫡🤝

I’m excited to join Caleb Chase for Maine House in Wells this Sunday for a cookout! Perhaps, if you’re lucky, Los Pollos Hermanos will make the menu! (If you know, you know.🐓)

We hope to see you on Sunday!

Our first “Conversations Series” was a success!

We created these spaces for folks to gather in an intimate, relaxed environment, and simply talk about whatever is on their mind.

I am humbled to say we had a truly diverse group at “Distilled Conversations” in every sense, different backgrounds, perspectives, ages, and life experiences—all willing to sit down, share ideas, and tip back a Maine-made libation together.

Thank you kindly to our wonderful hosts and to everyone who came out to support the conversation.

As your next Senator, I pledge to keep creating spaces that unite folks instead of divide them. It’s time to replace the stale partisan dividers in Augusta with leaders who respect and truly understand the challenges the average family faces, because I am enduring them myself.

Now the important questions: what town next … and should our next event be “Brewed Conversations” or “Uncorked Conversations?!” 🍻🍷

Today, we honor the Americans who gave their lives in service to our country and the freedoms we too often take for granted.

It was great to connect with Thomas Lavigne Maine State Representative District 148 and his family at today’s ceremony in Berwick. Thank you especially to the Berwick American Legion Post 79 for doing such an outstanding job indoors on short notice.

May we strive to live in a way that is worthy of their sacrifice. 🇺🇸🫡

Chicken barb anyone?!

As we roll into MDW, to my Massachusetts folks moving to Maine, I 100% support you bringing the famous “Chicken Barb” to Maine. This sandwich is an old family tradition I grew up chowing down on while visiting my family in Lawrence, MA!

But … please do keep Taxachusetts in the bay state, thank you kindly! 🇺🇸

They say we need younger leaders to step into the arena and run for office huh?!

So here’s a random Saturday right now:

6:00 a.m. — the 2 y/o breaks into the cabinet and dumps Special K all over the floor. The pup, Sox Fallon, thinks Christmas came early.

8:00-10:00 a.m. — oldest laces ‘em up for t-ball. Hits left, throws right, she goes 3-for-3 at the dish. Little brothers want in… not quite yet.

10:00-noon — give mom some well-deserved free time. Full-time dad duty at the park. No broken bones, cuts, or scrapes. Tremendous and gritty performance by dad, but still nowhere near mom’s level.

12:00-1:30 p.m. — lunch and nap time. Sadly, just for the kids.

1:30-4:00 p.m. — knocking doors, listening and learning from so many kind folks. (VERY IMPORTANT, make Dunks iced run.)

4:00-5:00 p.m. — launch the first Tailgate Talk of many. Primary takeaways:

• gas prices stink (yes, national issue obviously) ✅
• taxes are too high ✅
• infrastructures need work ✅
• we like you, but don’t like national republicans (great, I’m not a national candidate lol!) 🤣
• people want better schools ✅

5:00-8:00 p.m. — family time. Catch an inning or two of the Sox game… with Sox Fallon.

8:00-9:00 p.m. — bedtime! (For the kids. We still have folding to do.)

9:00 p.m. until whenever — laundry, watch Your Friends & Neighbors (4/5 stars, highly recommend), write thank you notes to our generous donors.

Rinse & repeat. 🤷‍♂️🗳️🤝

***Tailgate Talks***

This weekend we launched “Tailgate Talks” — pop-up opportunities across the district for anyone to drop-in and have respectful and honest conversations about the issues impacting their daily lives, or even the divisive political environment in general.

I am running because I genuinely believe coalition building with community members matters. Frankly, it’s something I do not see from my current state leaders, who are stale and out-of-touch with the average person and the challenges they face, largely because they have never truly experienced them firsthand.

As your next state senator, I pledge to hold these opportunities regularly. I look forward to seeing you at our next Tailgate Talk or Conversation Series soon! 🤝🙎‍♂️🙎‍♀️🛻
