**Thank You for Making Safety Fest a Success!**

A huge thank-you to the approximately 60 people who stopped by this morning and helped make our Safety Fest such a fun and educational event! Our Safety Squad was dressed in their fun gear to engage and encourage our youngest community members while making safety exciting for everyone.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the **Kennedy Volunteer Fire Department** and the **Town of Poland Highway Department** for their support. A special thank-you to the **Safety Village, Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, Project Lifesaver, Cattaraugus County Bank, and the Town of Poland Dog Control Officer** for doing such a wonderful job educating our community and sharing important safety information.

Thank you to everyone who participated, volunteered, and came out to learn with us. Together, we’re helping keep our community safe, one little safety superstar at a time.

Did You Know? Safety Can Be Fun!
Did you know that car seat safety checks are FREE—and you won’t get in trouble if your car seat isn’t up to current safety standards?
Have you ever heard of Project Life Saver? Would you love to climb inside a real fire truck, get an up-close look at a brand-new ambulance, or see a big dump truck?
How about chatting with Santa Claus about holiday safety or the Tooth Fairy about keeping your smile healthy? Did you know there are ways to keep both you and your pets safe? Or that you can learn how to protect your money, stay safe online, and protect the people you love?
Well, now’s your chance to learn all this and so much more!
Join us for Safety Fest at the Kennedy Free Library on Saturday, October 24, from 9 AM to noon!
Bring the whole family to meet our amazing Safety Squad and enjoy a morning full of fun, fascinating demonstrations, helpful information, and hands-on learning.
From car seats to cyber safety, fire prevention to financial protection, there’s something for everyone!
Come curious, leave safer!
We can’t wait to see you there!

Our NYS Construction Grant Project Is Complete!
We are thrilled to announce the completion of our NYS Construction Grant project! We extend our heartfelt gratitude to New York State for providing the grant funding that made this two-phase project possible and to Erik Stornes for helping bring our vision to life.
Phase 1: Transforming our conference room into a dedicated office and workspace.
Phase 2: Constructing a beautiful new conference room on the east end of the library and relocating the patio toward the front of the building.
These wonderful improvements provide us with new and improved spaces to work, meet, and serve our community.
Please stop in, take a look around, and enjoy these beautiful new spaces with us! We can’t wait to share them with you!

Libratory this morning found us exploring the wonderful world of music. We learned about rhythm, beat, pitch, tempo and dynamics. Our budding musicians created quite an orchestra today. Next Libratory is November 18 at 10am.

Walkers & Wigglers was farm-fabulous this morning!
Old MacDonald had a farm, and so did we! Our little farmers sang, clapped, crafted, read stories, and enjoyed a tasty snack. What a wonderful morning filled with giggles, learning, and farmyard fun!
Thank you to all our little wigglers and their grown-ups for joining us!
Mark your calendars! Our next Walkers & Wigglers will be November 21 at 10:00 AM. We can’t wait to see you there for more storytime fun at Kennedy Free Library!
