Our fifth-grade students had a wonderful hands-on learning experience! With Mrs. G and Mr. Forero, they built their own nurse log while learning how food webs work in nature.
The students added insects and other tiny creatures, moss, and water, carefully creating the different parts of this small ecosystem themselves. They learned a lot and had a great time bringing their nurse log to life!

¡Nuestros alumnos de quinto grado han disfrutado de una maravillosa experiencia de aprendizaje práctico! Junto con la Sra. G y el Sr. Forero, construyeron su propio tronco nodriz mientras aprendían cómo funcionan las redes tróficas en la naturaleza.
Los alumnos añadieron insectos y otras criaturas diminutas, musgo y agua, creando ellos mismos con mucho cuidado las diferentes partes de este pequeño ecosistema. ¡Aprendieron mucho y se lo pasaron en grande dando vida a su tronco nodriza!

Did you know the earliest cave paintings date back almost 70,000 years ago? After 4th grade learned about the Paleolithic period in social studies, they had a chance to create cave drawings of their own. Some chose to use elements of the prehistoric art, while others used modern inspiration. We love to see their creativity at work!

¿Sabías que las primeras pinturas rupestres datan de hace casi 70.000 años? Después de que el cuarto grado aprendiera sobre el Paleolítico en estudios sociales, tuvieron la oportunidad de crear sus propios dibujos rupestres.
