If you’re tired of politics that talks at you instead of working for you, you’re not alone.
The 2026 legislative session reminded us what happens when one party holds overwhelming power. With Republican supermajorities controlling both chambers, too many priorities that matter to working families were left behind. Democratic efforts to expand access to healthcare, raise wages, strengthen public education, and lower everyday costs repeatedly ran into a legislative wall.
Jefferson Parish Democrats believe government should work for the people, not for political insiders.
From the School Board to the State Legislature, Congress, and the United States Senate, Democratic candidates are fighting for stronger public schools, affordable healthcare, better-paying jobs, responsible infrastructure investment, protection of Social Security and Medicare, honest government, and an economy that gives working families a fair shot.
If you’re a Democrat, an Independent, a No Party voter, or a Republican who’s tired of constant political theater and leaders who answer to party bosses before the people they represent, there’s a place for you here.
We welcome anyone who believes Louisiana can do better.
There was a time when Louisianians placed their trust in Democratic leadership because our party focused on improving everyday life for working families. We know trust isn’t given—it has to be earned. That’s exactly what we’re committed to doing again, one neighborhood, one election, and one conversation at a time.
On November 3, make your voice count.
Join us. Vote. Help build a stronger Jefferson Parish and a stronger Louisiana.
