The Kenner Public Works Department advises of the following roadway improvement project: way improvement project:

• Public Works will replace the traffic signal cabinet at 300 W. Esplanade Avenue from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Wednesday, August 19th. Stop signs will be placed at the location until the new cabinet is energized and functioning properly.

Lane closure:
• Eastbound turning lane into Walmart
• Westbound right lane exiting Walmart

Motorist Advisory:
• Drivers are encouraged to use caution, expect delays, and allow additional travel time when passing through the work zone.

NOTICE OF SCHEDULED ROADWORK:

Northbound Terminal Drive (International Airport) on-ramp to Eastbound I-10 (New Orleans): full ramp closure on Tuesday, August 18th for a routine bridge inspection.
Westbound I-10 off-ramp New Orleans International Airport Exit 221A, full ramp closure on Tuesday, August 18th for routine bridge inspection.
• Date: Thursday, August 18, 2026
• Time: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm

Weather permitting, the roadways listed above will experience lane access restrictions and lane closures.

Affected Areas: Louis Armstrong Airport, I-10 ramps traveling to and from the airport.

ROADWAY STRIPING: 32ND STREET AND ARKANSAS AVENUE

• Activity: Contractors will be adding roadway striping at the intersection of 32nd Street and Arkansas Avenue.
• Date/Time: Monday, August 17th 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. (Weather permitting)
• Motorist Advisory: Drivers should expect intermittent lane closures through the intersection. Remain alert for traffic cones and work crews. Allow additional travel time when passing through the work zone.
