Recently, GVDA President Kevin L. Miller was invited to participate in The Tango Tango Podcast hosted by Lloyd Knight. A long-time friend to the Georgia Veterans Day Association, Lloyd guided the conversation through Kevin's military service, life after the military, and his almost 25 years of service to the Georgia Veterans Day Association.

In addition to GVDA, Kevin serves as the President of the Korea Defense Veterans Association (KDVA) Georgia Chapter. In 2024, Kevin joined the staff at KDVA Headquarters where he continues to serve as Membership Coordinator to promote overall growth and member engagement. He is proud to serve as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Infantry Museum Foundation outside the gates of Fort Benning in Columbus, GA.

GVDA President Kevin L. Miller presented the Most Patriotic Award from the 2025 Georgia Veterans Day Parade to the Vietnam Helicopter Pilots Association’s leaders Jim Crawford and Doug Lackey during their quarterly meeting on 20 January 2026. Their entry, a Vietnam era Huey Helicopter on a flatbed trailer, reminded our attendees of the important role that helicopters played in the Vietnam War.

This afternoon, GVDA President Kevin L. Miller attended the January meeting of the Atlanta Vietnam Veterans Business Association (AVVBA) where he presented their leadership with the President’s Award in honor of their outstanding entry in the 2025 Georgia Veterans Day Parade. In addition, President Miller presented them with their Silver Sponsorship award in honor of their continued support of GVDA and the Atlanta Veterans community.

At a ceremony this morning, GVDA President and Chairman Kevin L Miller presented the “2025 Best Non-Veteran” trophy and certificate to the DeKalb County Police Department Honor Guard. They have received additional awards during previous years and we were honored to have them lead the 2025 Georgia Veterans Day Parade. After he presented coins to the team, Kevin was honored to receive a DeKalb Police challenge coin from the Police Chief. Congratulations DKPD!

Today, GVDA President & Chairman Kevin L Miller presented the “2025 Best Marching” trophy and certificate to Duluth High School NJROTC. This unit has won multiple awards in the past and it was an honor to recognize their performance at the 2025 Georgia Vetetans Day Parade. The Duluth High NJROTC is an outstanding program that produces tomorrow’s leaders.
