Please join us in congratulating Officer A. Love on successfully completing the Basic Law Enforcement Training Course at the Georgia Public Safety Training Center – Alpharetta Regional Police Academy.

Officer Love was a member of Alpharetta Session 5 and has reached an important milestone as she begins her law enforcement career. Her graduation ceremony was held today at Roswell City Hall alongside fellow recruits, instructors, family, and supporters.

Following graduation, Officer Love was officially sworn in by Chief Stephens, marking the beginning of her service as a KSU Police Officer.

Congratulations, Officer Love! We are proud of her hard work and dedication and look forward to seeing her serve the KSU community.

On 08/04/2026 the Kennesaw State University Police Department proudly welcomed our newest officer, Officer B. Turner, during a swearing-in ceremony officiated by Chief Stephens.

Officer Turner officially took the oath of office and will soon begin field training as he prepares to serve and protect the Kennesaw State community. We are excited to welcome him to the department and look forward to the contributions he will make to our campus.

The ceremony was attended by members of the department, along with Officer Turner's family and friends, whose support plays an important role in the success of our officers. Please join us in welcoming Officer Turner to the KSU Police Department!

• Opportunities to meet and talk with your local first responders

National Night Out is a nationwide event that brings communities and public safety agencies together to build stronger relationships and safer neighborhoods.

The Kennesaw State University Police Department extends our deepest condolences to the Carrollton Police Department, Officer Dustin Krish's family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

Officer Krish's dedication, service, and sacrifice will never be forgotten. We stand with our law enforcement family in Carrollton as they mourn the loss of one of their own.

Rest in Peace, Officer Krish.

He is healed and home with Jesus. While we are heartbroken on earth, what a celebration Dustin is having in Heaven.

Chief Richards put it best…..Dustin was the best of us. He was unwavering in his duty, courageous, and faithful until the end.

Please, please continue to pray for the love of his life, Emily, Sgt. Chad Krish (his brother), and his entire family…..blood and blue. 💙

Promotion Announcement!

The Kennesaw State University Police Department is pleased to announce the promotion of Officer L. Loyd to the rank of Police Corporal. Corporal Loyd will continue serving within the Uniform Patrol Division, where he has consistently demonstrated professionalism, leadership, and a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of the Kennesaw State University community.

We congratulate Corporal Loyd on this well-deserved achievement and look forward to his continued success and contributions in his new role.

The promotion ceremony was officiated by Chief Ed Stephens and attended by numerous members of the KSU Police Department who gathered to recognize and celebrate this important career milestone.

Both officers were members of Alpharetta Session 4, marking an important milestone in their law enforcement careers. The graduation ceremony was held today at Roswell City Hall, where they celebrated this achievement alongside fellow recruits, instructors, and supporters.
