Your backyard can make a difference, especially for Georgia’s pollinators! 🦋🐝

Creating a pollinator-friendly garden in North Georgia is all about working with nature. Choose native plants like oakleaf hydrangea, coreopsis, and goldenrod, and include host plants like milkweed to support caterpillars as they grow. Aim for continuous blooms, skip the pesticides, and add a shallow water source to welcome even more visitors.

Two adventures, one day! Join us on Tuesday, June 2 for youth programs full of creativity, discovery, and outdoor fun at Smith-Gilbert Gardens!

🦋Little Sprouts | 9:15 – 9:45 AM
Be inspired by the native butterflies in our Garden with paly, story time, music and movement all about butterflies.

🎨Art in the Garden for Kids | 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Students will create nature prints using found materials from the garden and cyanotype paper! All materials are included, dress for creating art.
