Dear Garage Family,
We humbly come to you asking for your prayers and support. As many of you know, our sweet Murphy is once again battling cancer. Specifically, Acute Myeloid Leukemia again, this time with a rare mutation called TP53.
After going through two rounds of chemo, numerous blood transfusions and about a week in the hospital, her body does not seem to be responding to the treatment. There was hope for a stem cell transplant which was the best option but Murphy's condition is not good enough and makes her ineligible. Her best chance for prolonged life now is to go to Houston, Texas, where she will be in an early stage clinical trial.
Today, Murphy, Chris, and their children, Luke and Ireland, are headed to Houston for the next two months. We are sharing their Go Fund Me as one way to support this leg of their journey. They will be staying close to the hospital and donations will be used for travel and housing for their family as well as the ever growing medical expenses.

Murphy’s deep faith in Jesus continues to carry her, and even in the midst of so much uncertainty, she is trusting Him with courage, hope, and grace. As a community, we are holding onto our faith in the Lord and trusting Him to surround Murphy and her family with His peace, strength, and presence each day. For those of you who pray, or who simply want to pause and hold Murphy and her family in your hearts, we invite you to join us each day at 6:00 p.m.
Wherever you are, we ask you to take a moment to pray, reflect, or send encouragement for Murphy and her family. Specifically, we are praying for complete healing, for every trace of cancer to be removed from Murphy’s body, and for strength and peace in the days ahead. We are also praying for safe travels, for wisdom for her medical team, and for this clinical trial to be successful. The road ahead will not be easy, and Murphy is still very weak and tires easily, but we are trusting God to carry them each step of the way.
Thank you for loving Murphy and her family so well. Your prayers, encouragement, and support mean more than words can express. Please continue to keep them close in the days and weeks ahead. 🤍
