The program presenter is Helen Carter for "My Mother's Favorite Flower".

Azalea members find you Azalea shirts to wear on Sunday when we register the PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW.
Remember we are Photography Show only. The Rose Show will be on Thursday.
Azalea Garden Club no longer has anything to do with Adult or High School Art. This has been taken over by other entities of the Delta Fair.
Our only responsibilities are Photography and Roses. The Fair Board does request that there is someone from our club at the Photography Show each evening to answer questions and see that photos and awards stay in their proper locations.

On Saturday at 1 pm we are to meet and prepare the easels and set up tables to be ready to accept PHOTOGRAPHY ENTRIES on Sunday beginning at 1:30.

Photography entries will be accepted between 1:30 and 4pm on Sunday. At 4 o'clock we begin hanging photos until all entries have been hung.
Since the DDD is not publishing a Delta Fair Directory this year there is bound to be confusion. Also, we have a volunteer filling in for Elaine Pfeffer as Photography Show Chairman. Azalea Garden Club say your prayers and let's pull together to get this accomplished. We have a long reputation with the Delta Fair to uphold.

Also, it is time for Smoky Bear, Woodsey Owl again. Geeta Masuiria has agreed to chair this project. She did a fine job last year and we look forward to seeing the results for 2015.

Anita Blackmon

Garden Club to meet on Tuesday, May 26!
Program leader is Olene Lemonds. My Mother's Favorite Flower
( I think I heard Olene say her mother liked zinnias and marigolds.)
Hostesses are Ruth Jackson and Katy Coronado.

We will meet at Super 8 Motel as our regular meeting room at the Slicer Street Church may not be available.
Members please check our city beautification projects in the community. We have not planted a tree this year. Any ideas?

Anita has potted a few small (12 inches tall) redbud trees.
If you have seedlings coming up on your property, please pot them and label the pot.

This past Saturday was sign up for Farmer's Market on the Square. Can we just show up when we have plants available?

Do we have a club member who knows the requirements? Does someone have to represent us every week and do we have to
stay from 7am to noon? Do I have a volunteer that can find the answers for us?

Just presented these kids with certificates.

Five posters were chosen to represent Azalea Garden Club at the state convention in April. Thanks to art teacher Melissa Caneer at Masterson and Melinda Mowrer at South schools for teaching about Smoky Bear/Woodsey Owl and getting every child to make a poster. All this because Geeta Maisuria had the concept to follow through with all the arrangements. Thank You to Marilyn Caldwell and Ruth Jackson for helping with selection of posters and Ruth for mailing them.
