Thank you for your comments tonight at the EFSEC meeting regarding the Horse Heaven windmill project. We have had 90% of 500 write-in and call-in opposing the project. It’s a late night, but I’m willing to work for Benton County.

Late night tonight. I had to drink from a lot of fire hoses the last couple of weeks. I will keep learning and working hard.

I was asked from a news outlet today. Why I have been attending meetings were people are not wearing masks and social distancing during this pandemic? Below is my response.

My attendance at these meetings is in support of my community, I promised to listen to and fight for. I am not a politician, I am a member of this community, a business owner, and family man with four kids at home not going to school. I was raised to honor the constitution and peoples rights. The science and numbers do not add up. The numbers don’t support the mandates. What we have learned is this is causing depression, su***de, starvation, child abuse, domestic abuse, financial devastation, the list goes on...All of which should not be our "new normal." At this meeting a youth from our community bravely spoke out about her recent consideration of su***de. It’s called a community because we as humans have specific needs and when the needs aren’t met we suffer, my previous list is just a drop in the bucket of how our community has suffered thus far. I’ve said this repeatedly, shutting down is not the answer, you can't live in fear. As a leader in this community I am actively seeking ways we can get back to normal.

Our schools need to be open. Our businesses need to be open. With all of the safety mandates that we had before this last shut down, the schools and businesses are the safest places to be.

CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield said on Thursday that K-12 schools should remain open because data shows that schools are among the "safest places" that

My family and I would like to say thank you to everyone who supported the Will McKay campaign and voted in the election. None of this would have been possible without members of the community putting up signs in their yards, sending in donations, and telling their friends to vote McKay. Not to mention the numerous businesses that endorsed the campaign. I am deeply humbled to be where I am at in the polls. Now it’s time to get things done for the good people of Benton County!!

It was an honor to participate in the 2020 Candidate Forums. Please watch the interview and let me know if you have any questions, but most importantly, don't forget to vote McKay! We need a businessman in the county commissioner seat.
