Approaching a weekend full of Veteran’s Day events, the VFW in Kennewick is dealing with instances of graffiti on the organization’s hall.

Become a Volunteer Child Advocate!
You can make a lifelong difference for a vulnerable child. Become a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) for abused and neglected children ages 0-8 involved in the Dependency Court System. GAL advocate for a child by gathering information from visiting the child, placement, social worker, teacher and parents. They write court reports making recommendations on a child's best interest.

The next 4 week Volunteer GAL On-line Core training is scheduled for January 8, 2024 thru February 2, 2024, Mondays-Thursdays. Register to attend morning or evening sessions: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm or the evening sessions from 5:30 pm - 7:30 p.m. Staff provide GAL advocates the tools and ongoing support to be successful in their role of representing a child.

Hope Builders Art Project
This year Hope Builders staff and volunteers have been working with detained youth to express themselves through their art work. The paintings are displayed throughout detention. The revelations of these youth's hidden talents have sure brightened our hearts and hallways. We HOPE that these types of projects igniting a passion within each participant to know they too have value in their community.
