Please take a moment to write the Carthage College President John Swallow [email protected] and urge him to protect the traditions of the Young Republicans as a club on campus. Diversity of thought should not be infringed upon and conservative students should not be penalized because one group think disagrees with their views.
“There are numerous clubs on campus that do not want the Carthage College Republicans to have our budget for next year. They do not want us to go to CPAC, which is a main part of what we do as a club. They said it is a “hate speech conference” and that we should not be able to go because of that. On Tuesday May 2nd, the eboard and I will be addressing student government at their meeting. We will give speeches on why we think this is wrong in the hopes that they will approve our budget and let us go to CPAC.” -Molly, Carthage Young Republicans
