Residents impacted by Monday's severe storms can take advantage of the city's temporary storm damage pickup program.

Beginning Wednesday, July 29, crews will collect storm-damaged trees and brush placed at the curb on your regular garbage collection day through Tuesday, Aug. 4.

Please place debris at the curb by 6 a.m. on your collection day. No scheduling is required.

Residents who miss their collection day should contact Public Works at 262-653-4050 to schedule a brush pickup.

FEMA and U.S. Small Business Administration representatives are available today to help with disaster assistance applications, answer questions, discuss possible low-interest loans and connect you with additional resources.

You do not have to live in Kenosha County. Residents from any of the 19 Wisconsin counties included in the Presidential Disaster Declaration may attend—including Racine County. Please note: Walworth County is not currently included.

FEMA is here in our state to help provide assistance to survivors from the storms and flooding that occurred April 13-23.💪

But what is the difference between Individual Assistance and Public Assistance?🤔

🏠 Individual Assistance: Help for homeowners and renters for necessary and serious needs.
🏫 Public Assistance: Supplemental grants for state, local, and tribal governments, and certain private nonprofit organizations, such as schools, hospitals, houses of worship, and public utility districts.
