President Chelsea Andrews recently was a featured panelist at the 2026 National Economic Mobility and Opportunity Conference in a discussion about how Montgomery County and the State of Maryland are working innovatively to expand and resolve the housing crisis. A major focal point was Montgomery County’s Housing Production Fund. Other panelists included County Councilmember Laurie-Anne Sayles, Steven A. Palmer, Maryland’s first State Housing Ombudsman and James Hedrick, Montgomery County Planning Board Member.

HOC STEM Festival Delivers Backpacks, Confidence Boost to Kick Off School Year

The & Montgomery County Recreation delivered brand new backpacks and a confidence boost to hundreds of Montgomery County youth at its Fourth Annual STEM Back-School Festival on Saturday, Aug. 22, in partnership with Montgomery County Recreation. Washington’s WJLA-TV 7 news reported.
