To all town residents:
If you are looking to get a burn permit you can know go online at nh.burnsafeamerica.com. The permit will be sent to your email or a text message to your phone. There is an administrative fee for the permit.

As a friendly reminder the Kensington Fire Rescue Department is a paid per call volunteer department. Which means the fire station is not manned 24/7. So the best way to obtain a fire permit is to go online and apply for the permit.

Please remember to check the daily fire danger and follow all of the NH State Rules and Laws for burning. You are responsible for a fire that you start.

A busy morning for your Kensington Firefighters and EMTs. At 7:23am Crews responded to what would end up being simultaneous motor vehicle accidents in town as a result of slick road surfaces. Ambulance 1, Engine 2 and Car 1 responded to a single vehicle rollover on South Road as well as a multi-car accident on Amesbury Road. Amesbury Rd was shut down for a short period of time to ensure scene safety while crews worked in the roadway.

Members staffing Engine 2, Engine 3, Ambulance 1 and Car 1 responded to a chimney fire on Cottage Rd tonight. Crews were able to mitigate the problem and ensure there was no extension into the structure. Thank you to our automatic mutual aid partners Hampton Falls Fire Department and East Kingston Fire Department for their response and help on scene.
