A heartfelt goodbye to the Brimfield Township community from Parks and Recreation Director Cassie Weyer

After nearly seven years as the Parks and Recreation Director for Brimfield Township, I will be resigning from the Township as of today, 12/12.

Beginning with my first program, an evening amphibian hike at Lions Park in March 2019, I have had the opportunity to plan and host nature programs, summer camps, festivals, concerts in the park, contests, and holiday events for the Township to help bring the community together. I have been fortunate to be involved with the growth of our parks including the addition of new park land, parks improvements, staff, and programming.

Since 2019, I have had the opportunity to watch Brimfield grow and have shared in many special moments with members of the community. Over the years, I have assisted the same families with renting the Community Center for wedding showers, baby showers, and first birthdays, then have met their children in Safety School and summer camps.

I am grateful for the Brimfield Township staff, community partners, nonprofits, and volunteers who have helped to build this department and I have been fortunate to now call many of them my friends.

As I leave for my next adventure, it is my hope that the citizens of Brimfield continue to care for, enjoy, and make memories in the Township's beautiful parks and facilities, and I thank each and every one of you for the opportunity to serve your community.
