The Kent State College Democrats The Kent State College Democrats is an organization built to provide a platform for fostering progressive student values at Kent State University.

The Kent State College Democrats welcome all students, faculty, staff and community members to join us on Tuesday evenings in room 318 of the Kent State Student Center. Join us as we build on the progressive values we know to be true and the progressive values we hold dear. We aim to foster an environment that shows promise in education, lifting up the middle class and minorities and making sure everyone gets a fair shot.

We also would like to take the opportunity to remember Alan Canfora, one of the students shot that day who passed away this last year. Alan was a committed activist throughout his life, and this year is lesser for his absence.

In our final video in our congressional series we welcome long time friend of the KSU Dems Aaron Paul Godfrey for Congress! Aaron is a scientist running for congress, who understand the struggles of regular working class people. His incumbent opponent is an out of touch Republican with practically no ties to the district whatsoever. Aaron will work to improve our healthcare access, reduce student loan debt, tackle climate change, and develop smart policy to deal with Godfrey. Vote Godfrey on or before November 3rd Ohio 16!

Next in our congressional candidate series is Joel Newby for Congress. He is running in Ohio's 15th against Steve Stivers who has been in congress nearly a decade. Ballotpedia describes Stivers as an "average Republican member of congress", which seems apt for an incumbent who has spend a decade passing literally a handful of bills (5). Joel Newby will fight for the working families of Ohio's 15th - vote Newby early, by mail, or on November 3rd!
