USG is happy to announce we are accepting applications for vacant appointed (Election Commissioner; Chief of PR) and elected positions (Director of Programming; Senator, College of the Arts; Senator, College of Communication and Information) within Undergraduate Student Government.

Applications are due by Tuesday, September 8 at 5:00pm.

Voting is scheduled from Monday, September 14 at 8am until Tuesday, September 15 at 5pm.

Interviews for Election Commissioner and Chief of Public Relations are tentatively scheduled to take place between Wednesday, September 8 through Tuesday, September 15.

Appointments will be made during our Public Meeting on Wednesday, September 16 starting at 5:30pm in the KSU Governance Chambers.

Set your alarm to purchase your USG Game Day Experience Ticket for $50! Your ticket includes admission to the Kent State vs Ohio State football game on Saturday, September 19 in Columbus (face value of $75) and round-trip transportation sponsored by USG.

Tickets are limited and go on sale at 12pm (noon) on Thursday, September 3. We will post the link at 12pm sharp on facebook and Instagram. Students will need to sign in with their Flashline credentials to purchase their USG Game Day Experience Ticket.

Check our Fall 2026 Public Meeting Schedule. Public meetings are typically on Wednesdays at 5:30pm in the Kent Student Center Governance Chambers. The agendas can be found on our website: https://www.kentstateusg.com

A public meeting is a formal meeting where your elected and appointed student representatives conduct business while students and other members of the public can attend and observe. Kent State’s USG is the main elected body representing undergraduate students.
