My belly and heart are full! Had a great opening party meal at Deli Oclock today. The food is so good and I love Mo's commitment to quality food under $10. He has a great menu, great family and friends and I am thrilled he chose Kent to open his Mediterranean deli.I won't say which is my favorites sandwich because every time I try a new one I have to change my mind. Eat there, you won't regret it!

Hey Kent, voter turnout is way down this year! This means just a handful of voters will be making decisions that will impact you for 4 years! You can still be heard! When you get home tonight fill out your ballot, sign it and run it over to an official dropbox at Panther Lake library, YCMA, or the Regional Justice Center by 8 PM. Every election matters!

We have a new program we are hoping will serve as a resource for both our community and our officers. The Take Me Home program is a National program, designed to help with the safe return of loved ones who may have difficulty communicating or may need special assistance during an emergency situation. This program is for individuals with autism, Down syndrome, developmental or cognitive disabilities, or those that suffer from dementia, Alzheimer's or more. Families/caregivers can complete an online registration form that includes a picture and identifying information for their person. This information is uploaded in a secure data base that only the Kent Police Department can access. When officers encounter an individual, officers can access this database for information that could help them identify emergency contact information, address and much more. Thank you to the Renton Police Department, who has had the program for many years, for the guidance on putting this together.

For more information and to complete the registration form, go to https://www.kentwa.gov/departments/police-department/take-me-home.
You can also contact [email protected] for more information.
