In the 45 years since HIV has been discovered, we've made remarkable progress. Treatment now allows people living with HIV to achieve viral suppression and live full lives. But this progress depends on sustained funding for research and federal programs. I'm committed to protecting the resources we need to end this epidemic.

I’ve been proud to support LGBTQ+ organizations across the Ninth District over the years and wanted to reflect on the world we’ve done this Pride Month. I’ve met with UTOPIA WA and supported their mission of advocating for LGBTQ+ Pacific Islanders in South King County. My office helped invest $500,000 in community project funding to expand their substance use and mental health services. I’ve also partnered with Minority Vets to help out LGBTQ+ service members access safe housing. I’ll continue to work with community leaders to provide the support for our LGBTQ+ neighbors.
