We are incredibly proud of our cadets from Youngstown and Kent for providing a Color Guard at the Folds of Honor Organization's Annual Concert and Golf Outing. Their Selfless Service, Loyalty, and Duty in volunteering and completing this mission exemplify the Army Values and their dedication to the Golden Eagle Battalion. Well done!

A special thank you to North 41 Crossfit for hosting the 1LT Ashley White Hero WOD! Several Cadets and others from the community represented the Program, the Kent community, and her enduring legacy during the workout.

North 41 CrossFit hosts a free Hero WOD every Sunday, and proceeds are donated to surviving families of fallen Servicemembers, and to date has donated $5,000!

Join us on Sunday October 30th @ 9:00AM for a very special Hero WOD, "White", honoring LT. Ashley White, who died while serving in Afghanistan during deployment operations. This is a free event open to the public, no membership required and there is no drop-in fee, however participants will be provided an opportunity to donate to th Special Operations Warrior Foundation which ensures complete post-secondary educational support and additional educational opportunities “cradle to career,” for eligible surviving children of fallen Special Operations Personnel and children of all Medal of Honor Recipients; and provides immediate financial assistance to severely wounded, ill, and injured Special Operations Personnel — today and in the future. LT White was a native of Alliance, OH and a Kent State University graduate. She was killed during combat operations October 22, 2011 in Kandahar Province, Afghanistan when the assault force she was supporting triggered an improvised explosive device. LT White was assigned to the 230th Brigade Support Battalion, 30th Heavy Brigade Combat Team, North Carolina National Guard, Goldsboro, N.C., and served as a member of the Cultural Support Team attached to a Joint Special Operations Task Force in Afghanistan.

Workout will begin at 9:30AM. As always, scaling options and modifications to the workout will be covered before the workout begins.
