Yesterday was an afternoon full of fair fun! I was really excited to be asked to be a judge at the goat costume show followed by judging the “dress a lamb” contest!

It was so much fun to see all of the enthusiasm and creativity that was brought into the ring! Competitions like this are part of what make Portage County Randolph Fair such a special time!

I will always adore and support the work of 4-H youth! Tonight, we were at the small animal livestock auction at the Portage County Randolph Fair and I purchased Ms. Grace Wheeler’s Reserve Grand Champion Turkey (32lbs)! I am so proud of these kiddos and all the hard work they put into raising these animals!

It’s that time of year folks, one of the best weeks in Portage County! This morning we kicked off the 168th Portage County Randolph Fair! Each year, our fair reminds me of what a beautiful community Portage County is. Our agricultural roots, hardworking families, 4-H youth, and generations of traditions!
