Today, Portage County officially became a Purple Heart County, a meaningful designation honoring the courage and sacrifice of our nation’s combat wounded veterans. 🇺🇸💜

I was honored to attend today’s ceremony and stand alongside veterans, local leaders, and community members in recognition of those who have given so much in service to our country.

Thank you so much to Homefront Heroes of Portage County for their tireless efforts to make this happen.

We will never forget the sacrifices made by our Purple Heart recipients and their families.

What a fantastic journey this has been!

Yesterday, we graduated from Leadership Portage County! Despite being a lifelong resident of Portage County, I learned so much about this beautiful place we call home!

The connections fostered, knowledge learned and fun that was had along the way made this experience so special!

Thank you to my classmates, LPC and everyone who made this experience possible!
