📢 Help Shape Kenton's Future!
Our Legislative Committee is beginning discussions on potential data center regulations following the recently approved temporary moratorium.
This proactive effort is focused on protecting city resources, establishing clear standards, defining community expectations, and ensuring we're prepared should a data center ever consider our community in the future. City officials have emphasized that there has been no communication with any data center developer at this time. This meeting is the first of several discussions that will help shape future recommendations. Additional meeting dates will be posted on the City of Kenton calendar as they are scheduled.

🇺🇸 Honoring the Legacy of the Hardin County Armory

The Armory Foundation is proud to honor two local couples, Frank and Betty Bondi and John and Ruby Jester, whose dedication and support played a meaningful role in saving Ohio’s oldest armory.

With the help of Quest Federal Credit Union, The Moldmakers Inc., Indian Lake High School, and Kenton Marble and Granite, the Foundation is dedicating a functional 1841 six-pound Napoleon cannon in recognition of their contributions. Both couples will have their names affixed to the cannon’s carriage as a lasting tribute to their love for God, Hardin County, and our community.

The Armory stands today because of the people who gave their time, encouragement, and support to preserve this historic landmark for future generations. ❤️

We are honored to celebrate their legacy and thank everyone who helped make this dedication possible!

2026 Leaf Pickup Begins the Week of November 9! 🍂🚛
Ward 1 the week of November 9

Not sure which ward you're in? Check the ward map below.
⚠️ Please do not place leaves at the curb or in the street yet. Leaf pickup, including bagged leaf pickup, will NOT begin until November 9. Crews will not be collecting leaves before that date.
If you have already started fall cleanup and need to dispose of leaves before November 9, residents may take leaves, grass clippings, and garden debris free of charge to the Hardin County Solid Waste & Recycling Center, 45 Jones Road. ♻️
When collection begins, please rake leaves to the edge of the tree lawn only and keep them out of the street, where they can clog storm sewers and contribute to flooding during heavy rain. Please also avoid parking on leaf piles and slow down when driving near leaf pickup crews to help keep everyone safe. 🍁💧
Once the program begins, bagged leaves may be placed in front of your residence for pickup by calling the City or submitting a Report a Concern request: www.cityofkenton.com/report

🚦 Have you seen them yet?

The new traffic lights at Main and Columbus are officially up and running! Removing the old signal structures really opens up the intersection and provides a great new view of downtown. Main and Franklin are up next!
As for Detroit Street at Franklin and Columbus Streets, those signals will be replaced as part of the roundabout project planned for 2027.
It's exciting to see these improvements taking shape across Kenton! Let us know what you think of the new look. 😊
