HARDIN COUNTY DEMOCRATIC PARTY PRINCIPLES:
As the Hardin County Democratic Party, we state the following principles as core values of our party:
- We believe the primary duty of government is to ensure that each citizen’s person and property is protected from violence and crime.
- We believe any government should prohibit discrimination or barriers which deny a citizen equal opportunity to succeed

- We believe families are the basic unit of society, and a fair and just society is one where government strengthens families by affording the opportunity for quality health care, affordable housing and a public education for each citizen without distinction.
- We believe freedom and equality can best be maintained through an informed citizen participation in the electoral process. We believe that the party should make sure voters have information on national, state, county and local candidates and issues so they can fulfill their responsibilities as voters.
- We believe that the power of democratic government rests in the people and government officials should serve for the good of all people. We hereby fully resolve, with honesty and integrity, to pursue these principles and promote the worth and dignity of each and every citizen of Hardin County.
