⚾ THAT’S A WRAP ON THE CHARITY SOFTBALL SHOWDOWN! ⚾

The City of Kenton came ready to play… and apparently decided they wanted the bragging rights. 😂

🏆 City of Kenton — 28
🚔 Hardin County Sheriff's Office — 12

28-12! 👏⚾

The City workers brought the bats, the Sheriff's Office brought the fight, and everybody brought the laughs!

But tonight was about so much more than the final score. ❤️

A HUGE thank-you to everyone who came out, donated, cheered, talked a little trash, and supported Shop with a Cop. Your generosity will help bring some extra Christmas joy to local kids.

Thank you to Kenton Little League for the fields, BKP Ambulance for keeping our aging athletes in one piece 😂, our food trucks, umpires, volunteers, players, and everyone who helped make tonight possible!

And to both teams—thank you for showing up, having fun, and giving us a night full of laughs, competition, and plenty of bragging rights.

As for the Sheriff's Office…

There’s always next year. 😏😂

PARKING FOR THE SOFTBALL GAME IS FREE TONIGHT. PLEASE DISREGARD THE SIGNS THAT ARE UP. THEY ARE FOR A DIFFERENT TOURNAMENT FROM THIS MORNING.

💙🐾 Rest Easy, K9 Christo 🐾💙

The Kenton Police Department is saddened to hear of the passing of K9 Christo.

Christo was once an important part of the KPD family, beginning his law enforcement career here in Kenton. He later moved on to the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, where he continued his service and worked alongside Sgt. Yoder as a trusted K9 partner.

While his badge may have changed, his connection to the KPD family never did. Christo was one of our own, and we are grateful for the time he spent serving the Kenton community before continuing his career with Wyandot County.

K9s leave a special kind of mark on the people and agencies they serve. Christo’s loyalty, dedication, and hard work will not be forgotten. 🐾

Our thoughts are with Sgt. Yoder, the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing and working with Christo.

Thank you for your service, Christo.
Rest easy, good boy. You will always be part of the K9 family. 🌈💙🐾

🚔🎣 What a FUN afternoon! We had quite a few kids come out for some fishing, laughs, and plenty of good times! 💙

A HUGE thank you to the Kenton Conservation Class and Mr. Chuck Moore for letting us use the fishing pools. We truly appreciate you helping make this event possible!

And a big THANK YOU to Small Batches- Kenton, OH for the delicious cookies! 🍪 They were the perfect sweet treat!

We had a blast spending the afternoon with everyone and hope all of our little fishermen and fisherwomen had just as much fun as we did!

📸 Enjoy some pictures from the event!

Thank you to everyone who came out and made Cops & Bobbers such a success! 💙🎣🚔

🐾 Happy National K9 Day! 🐾

Today, we recognize and celebrate the incredible K9s who serve alongside law enforcement officers every day. These dedicated partners use their strength, intelligence, and instincts to help keep our communities safe.

From tracking and searches to assisting their handlers in the field, K9s are more than partners — they’re trusted members of the law enforcement family. 🐕‍🦺💙

Today, we thank all the K9s and their handlers for their hard work, loyalty, courage, and service.

🐾 We appreciate you and all that you do!
