And morning bells will soon have their say.
New books and backpacks wait by the door,
As learning returns once more.

But seek not the bell that’s yet to ring,
Nor where young voices start to sing.
Instead, find where the lessons have passed,
A chapter now written somewhere in the past.

Though its purpose changed, its walls remain,
Holding echoes without a name.
Look where yesterday once opened its doors—
The hidden stone waits near times before. 🪨👀

Think you’ve found it? Here’s what to do:

⚠️ SCAM ALERT – KENTON AREA ⚠️

The Kenton Police Department has received multiple reports of scam calls from individuals claiming to be members of the Kenton Police Department (KPD) or Hardin County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO).

Scammers are telling people they have warrants or other legal issues and then demanding money. In some cases, they are leaving a callback number that is not even a local area code.

🚨 Please remember: LAW ENFORCEMENT WILL NEVER CALL YOU AND DEMAND MONEY OVER THE PHONE TO CLEAR A WARRANT OR TO AVOID ARREST!

If you receive a suspicious call:
• Do not send money or provide financial information.
• Do not give out personal information.
• Hang up and independently contact the agency using an official phone number if you have questions.
• If you believe you have been the victim of a scam, report it to law enforcement.

Please share this post with family and friends—especially those who may be more vulnerable to these types of scams.

When in doubt, hang up.

Seek the lake named for a distant land of art and kings.
Near where airplanes take off and land,
Find the quiet lane that comes to its end.
At the end of that lane stands a tall tree.
Look carefully at its base — the painted rock is hidden there.

Snap a photo with the rock and bring it to the Kenton Police Department.
