Contrary to the pedestrian interjections by incoming council member Michael Hall at tonight’s meeting, opinion did not rule my motion to restrict any intermingling of the Town of Kentwood’s financial accounts. When I took office in 2019 the Gordon administration left us with a deficit of over $290,000 due to nearly $1.3 million dollars in wanton spending.

This deficit was worked down considerably during the last four years, and without proper guardrails, that deficit has the potential to rise once again.

I do not deal in opinion. I deal in fact.

There seems to be a rumor going around that if I win, I'll place water meters on every property in town.

This is a flat-out lie and has nothing to do with my platform or anything I've said.

I am very open about my plans and my record. If anyone has questions about how I feel or what I want to do, just ask me.

There are some in this town who love to spread lies because they gain power through confusion.

I never blew off your concerns as a council member, and I don't plan on doing that as Mayor.
