Knowing your location is one of the most important pieces of information you can give during an emergency. Even with today’s technology, we still need YOU to confirm where you are.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Teach your kids:
• Their full home address
• How to describe nearby landmarks
• A parent or guardian’s full name and phone number

Those few details can save precious time when seconds truly count.

🚨 More Tips to Help Us Help You:
• Stay calm and speak clearly.
• Answer all questions....we’re asking for a reason.
• Don’t hang up until we tell you it’s okay.
• If you’re calling from a cell phone, know what city/parish you’re in.
• Update your emergency contact information regularly.

Every second matters. Every call matters. And being prepared makes a difference. 💛📞

FYI

To the Citizens of St. Helena Parish,

Due to the extreme dryness in the area and a shortage of available firefighters, a parish-wide burn ban is now in effect.

This ban prohibits all outdoor burning, including bonfires, fire pits, and the burning of trash or yard debris. We understand this may be an inconvenience, but this action is necessary to protect our community and reduce the risk of wildfires.

We will continue to monitor the conditions and will inform you as soon as the burn ban has been lifted. Thank you for your cooperation.

Sincerely,

St. Helena Parish Police Jury
